MASA’s 2010 Midwinter Conference is now behind us. This was a very successful event.
The conference planning committee wants to thank all who helped to make it a relevant conference. Many of our presenters have given us permission to post their presentations. Those can be found by visiting the MASA Conference archive on Michigan Edsource.
We have begun planning for our Fall Conference. The major theme for the 2010-2011 school year will be Integrated Technology-District Leaders Making It Happen! The Fall Conference will be held at the Grand Traverse Resort from September 22-24, 2010. Your Conference Planning Committee and MASA staff will continue to review formal evaluation feedback and listen to what needs you have and provide another year of quality professional development. To that end, make sure if you haven’t already to submit your Midwinter conference evaluation which has been sent to you electronically.
Members, sponsors and/or others interested in presenting at our Fall Conference may indicate interest by submitting a presentation proposal
on our website. The proposal submission form can be found under the Events menu, then scroll to the Prosoposal Presentation link. When an interested party fills in this abstract, it should be done knowing that a proposal is stronger when the presentation is about sharing an educational concept, not selling a product. It is also enhanced when practitioners are included in the presentation. The proposals for fall will be due no later then May 20, 2010. The committee will review proposals and let those that submit know by no later then June of their status.
Also, our Fall Conference features an Exhibit Show. Registration information for the Exhibit portion of the conference can be obtained by contacting Sue White at either swhite@gomasa.org or by phone at 517-327-5910.
Suggested dress code for Fall Conference is business casual.
