For Tier 1, for aspiring superintendents, the yearly cost is $1,400. Tier 1 is a two-year program, so the total cost is $2,800.  By successfully completing Tier 1 an individual earns a provisional (five year renewal) superintendent specialty endorsement. This cost may be paid by a district or an individual.  

For Tier 2, for practicing superintendents, the yearly cost is $1,200.  Tier 2 is a three-year program, so the total cost is $3,600. We ask that the superintendent contributes $200 per year to demonstrate a personal investment in their own professional growth and credentials. The remainder of the balance may be paid by a district. Most school boards find Courageous Journey a great investment in the superintendent and the success of the district; thus, they choose to cover the remaining $1,000 per year.

For both Tier 1 and Tier 2 MASA covers the first $600+ of program costs per person. We do this through the support of sponsors and grants along with an investment of staff time from the whole MASA team.
