Transforming the Path to High Student Achievement-a Peer-to-Peer Sharecase

MASA’s Midwinter Conference will take place at the Kalamazoo Radisson, January 23-25, 2013 and will continue our 2012-2013 theme. Once again the focus will be being  a “Peer to Peer Sharecase” event. Hear ideas and strategies that are improving education in Michigan, particularly as they relate to Transforming the Path to High Student Achievement.

The conference planning committee has made selections, and MASA staff are in the process of notifying presenters about their selection or and non-selection, starting the week of December 17th. Watch for an agenda coming soon!

The Conference Planning Committee and staff of MASA take this process very seriously.  We usually receive three times the request than session slots available. Topics that are primarily educational in nature, related to our theme, come to us through direct feedback from members, and are not primarily sales of product and services in nature are used to guide selection.

Our goal is to design give a relevant and helpful conference. We appreciate all who step up and are interested in sharing to help our members better serve those they serve.

On behalf of the Conference Planning Committee,

Mike O’Mara, Superintendent Lakewood Public Schools; Chairperson MASA Conference Planning Committee
Dan Pappas, Associate Executive Director, MASA; Executive Director, MIEM
Diane Dick, MASA/MIEM Conference Planner
