Who should attend School ADvance Basic Training? District & building administrators who are using or planning to use the School ADvance Administrator Evaluation System.
Principals, central office administrators and superintendents should plan to attend both days of training. Training will focus on how to use the School ADvance system, both as an evaluator and as an administrator who is the “key person in his or her own evaluation.” Additional information about School Advance can be found at the School ADvance webpage.
Who should attend Users’ Group introductions? Districts using the School ADvance Administrator Evaluation System should designate 1-2 district administrators (ideally, one central office and one building principal) who will represent the district on the Users Group and receive additional support in for their roles as trainers and facilitators for their districts. Users Group participants will also provide input to MASA and Michigan ASCD for refining and further developing School ADvance rubrics, tools and resources. The Users Group provides districts with support and collaboration for:
- administrator evaluation
- development, alignment, and refinement of a district’s entire educator
