RDI Mobile Technology Update
We all know that the future of education will be awash in digital media. That is why you made the decision to participate in the RDI Mobile Technology project. In order to help you get better acclimated with your new ipad device, we have arranged a series of short lessons, via Atomic Learning, so that you may take your place at the vanguard of the new digital educational movement.
All the lessons contained within Atomic Learning’s library of tutorials could be found by simply typing a question into Google and wading through the sea of results. But what if you don’t know what to look for? It could take an hour to find the answer to your question.
We want to use this space to help inspire you to explore the boundaries of the iPads potential. We want to show you things you would never have thought possible. We want to answer questions that you never would have thought to ask.
We realize that for some of you this is not your first iPad, yet many may still be learning exactly how this new device will fit into your daily work and life. For our first featured lesson we chose something simple. Take heed, the lessons will become more challenging in future messages.
Lesson One: Changing the Wallpaper
The iPad allows you to customize your device’s wallpaper (the picture in the background of the home screen.) There are a host of stock wallpapers to choose from -- many contained stunning vistas of beautiful natural settings. But wouldn’t you rather unlock your iPad and see a picture of your family? Your favorite sports team? Or maybe a snapshot from the community you serve?
This is your device. Its purpose is to serve you and your needs. By customizing the wallpaper you are, in effect, making it your own.
This very short video from atomic learning will help you to change the image on your device’s wallpaper: http://www.atomiclearning.com/k12/iPad
To find the video scroll down to section “A. iPad basics.” From there, select lesson no. 13.
Next week we will learn about managing your email contacts.
